A permit application is not a form-filling exercise. Most operators will need an environmental management system, a site plan, and — for tyre storage — a fire prevention plan that meets regulator guidance.
A realistic sequence
- Weeks 1–4: gap analysis against permit requirements
- Weeks 4–10: management system and fire prevention plan
- Weeks 10+: submission, pre-application advice and determination
Starting early reduces the risk of operating without valid authorisation once transitional arrangements end.
